*Restore balance and resilience *Improve mental health *Develop coping strategies *Foster personal growth

Welcome, my name is Catherine Crosby
I am a mental health professional, integrative counsellor and clinical supervisor, offering in-person and online counselling and supervision, and I am registered with the BACP.
My own experience of therapy is part of what draws me to this work, it showed me first-hand how powerful it can be to have a safe, non-judgemental space to be truly heard. That experience continues to shape how I work with every client and Supervisee.
My background spans the NHS, wider mental health services, and education, giving me experience working with a broad range of people and presenting issues from trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, addiction and grief, to relationship difficulties, AuDHD, LGBTQ+, identity and major life transitions.
My Clients
As an integrative practitioner, I do not work with a single fixed model, instead, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to what you need. I offer a personalised approach suited to your individual needs, providing tools and insights that bring relief and restore balance.
You choose how we work together, I offer single sessions for specific issues or open-ended counselling meeting regularly for sessions which allows the therapeutic process to unfold at your pace, in person or online making it easy to access help wherever you are in the UK or abroad.
My Supervisees
I offer integrative clinical supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and coaches, providing a thoughtful, supportive space to reflect on your practice, strengthen your clinical judgement, and work through what's arising in your client work with confidence.
With a postgraduate certificate in supervision, I work from the Hawkins and Shohet Seven-Eyed Model. We explore your client work, the relationship, your interventions and decisions, your own responses, and the wider systemic and ethical picture, including:
Couples work, including Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) and psychosexual
Individual trauma work, including EFIT, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Flash
Experience as a counselling tutor, working with trainees as well as qualified practitioners
I am passionate about supporting individuals within culturally diverse communities and promoting inclusivity in my practice, where everyone feels respected, affirmed and heard.

Testimonials
Couples Client: Relationship challenges
“From our very first session, Catherine proved to be a warm, reliable, and insightful guide for me and my partner as we navigated relationship challenges. Having tried several counsellors before, Catherine’s approach stood out as the most helpful by far. I was seeking someone who not only listened, but also brought psychological insight and new perspectives—and Catherine delivered exactly that.
She helped me uncover the roots of behavioural patterns, linking them to attachment and trauma in ways I’d never considered. Her thoughtful questions, calm presence, and practical support helped me recognise toxic dynamics, build boundaries, and better understand myself without shame.
Catherine was pivotal in my recovery and personal growth. Her kindness, pragmatism, and deep knowledge made a lasting impact—and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone facing relationship, family, or emotional challenges.”
Individual Client: Childhood Trauma and low self esteem
Working with you as my counsellor has been a profoundly supportive experience, transforming my initial feelings of being overwhelmed and lost into a sense of clarity and self-acceptance. Our sessions, particularly the inner child work and discussions around relationships, helped me understand and address the impact of childhood trauma, leading to improved boundaries and communication in my relationships, and a significant decrease in self-criticism. The most impactful aspects were your gentle guidance in connecting past experiences to present feelings, and the consistent emphasis on self-compassion, which surprisingly accelerated my progress and left me feeling lighter after each session.”
Individual Client: Polyamorous relationship challenges
I had a challenging experience with counseling in the past, which left me feeling hesitant and worried about being judged. However, Catherine immediately made me feel at ease. She gently guided me through untangling the complex thoughts and emotions I brought into our sessions. Catherine is an exceptional listener, always offering thoughtful prompts when I was unsure of how to proceed. After each session, I walked away with a renewed sense of clarity, additional insights to reflect on, and often a fresh perspective on issues I had struggled to resolve on my own. Her expertise and knowledge are evident, and she provided me with practical strategies for managing an unbalanced relationship. Thanks to her support, I gained the confidence to set healthy boundaries, which has led to immediate positive changes in my life. Most importantly, I now have a deeper understanding of myself and how I form connections with others. I cannot recommend Catherine highly enough – she has truly helped me move forward"
