"After putting therapy off for a long time, I finally decided to take the plunge. I spoke to a few different counsellors and services before choosing to work with Catherine, and I’m so glad I did. At the start, I’ll admit I dreaded those first couple of sessions. I wasn’t confident in my ability to be open or to have the uncomfortable conversations I knew I needed to face. Over time, that changed completely. I now feel lighter and more self-aware than I ever have before. I understand much more clearly why I think and behave the way I do, and I’ve learned to balance confidently standing up for myself with being able to compromise and accept others. The shift hasn’t gone unnoticed either. The people closest to me have commented on the positive changes in my outlook and behaviour.

What made Catherine’s support so impactful was the sense of safety she created. She helped me sit with discomfort, work through silence, and explore parts of my life I’d never felt able to share with anyone before. She met everything I brought with kindness, empathy, and absolutely no judgment. The resources she shared also allowed me to continue developing at my own pace, even beyond our sessions. Because of the work we did together, I’ve been able to open up to people in my life who had no idea about the struggles I’d carried for so many years.

If you’re unsure about starting counselling, I would say this: yes, it may feel uneasy at first. You might uncover deep feelings you’ve kept hidden, and you might even cry. But finding someone you feel safe enough to talk to can genuinely change your life. Catherine’s counselling style is compassionate, open, questioning, and reflective, and I’m incredibly grateful for the journey we’ve shared."

“From our very first session, Catherine proved to be a warm, reliable, and insightful guide for me and my partner as we navigated relationship challenges. Having tried several counsellors before, Catherine’s approach stood out as the most helpful by far. I was seeking someone who not only listened, but also brought psychological insight and new perspectives—and Catherine delivered exactly that.

She helped me uncover the roots of behavioural patterns, linking them to attachment and trauma in ways I’d never considered. Her thoughtful questions, calm presence, and practical support helped me recognise toxic dynamics, build boundaries, and better understand myself without shame.

Catherine was pivotal in my recovery and personal growth. Her kindness, pragmatism, and deep knowledge made a lasting impact—and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone facing relationship, family, or emotional challenges.”

"I highly recommend Catherine; she is a compassionate and skilled counsellor who combines her extensive training with a warm, empathetic approach. She is deeply committed to helping her clients find clarity and resilience in their journey."

"Catherine is a warm and compassionate therapist who creates a safe, empathetic environment for her clients. Her dedication to continuous learning and her calm demeanour inspires trust, making her an excellent choice for those seeking support on their mental health journey."

"I've been with Catherine for nearly a year now and have come on leaps and bounds, I feel I have overcome my mental health issues and my journey of self discovery has been amazing. I feel that many people could benefit from the wonderful work she does."

"Catherine, you have changed my life in so many ways, you have freed me from all anger and resentment that has been poisoning me for years, I am forever grateful."

"I had not had therapy before and didn't know what to expect. I was very grateful for your calm reassuring manner, guiding me through our sessions so it never felt anything other than safe. You are insightful, creative, and kind, and an excellent and judicious listener, who picked up many things from our conversation that I wasn't aware of myself, and very quickly helped me to focus on some real areas where work could be done. At the beginning of our sessions, I felt quite lost and confused, with a multitude of different things going on in my life and no real idea of how to make sense of them.  I now feel that we managed to untangle that mess. It was interesting to see how the issues that came up in our very first session were key to the deeper work that we did later. The final couple of sessions where we touched on internal family systems and the concept of parts really seemed to touch on something fundamental in what was troubling me, and was not something that I had never thought of or experienced before. I am also grateful for your recommendations of tools and resources which has enabled me to continue working on my wellbeing after our sessions have finished."

"Catherine helped me through a really difficult period of time after the end of a long-term relationship. She helped me to work through what had happened, process lots of feelings and emotions, and helped me understand myself and relationships so much better than I did before I started. I was nervous about starting counselling, Catherine was very welcoming and supportive which put me at ease straight away. I have learnt so much since then and couldn't recommend Catherine enough. Catherine is very warm, supportive and knowledgeable. She is also challenging in the right way.  I felt safe and supported from the first session, Catherine listened carefully to what I was feeling and reassured me that it was normal to be experiencing what I was going through. She then helped me unpick and understand those feelings,  a really positive experience, especially having had a couple of mixed experiences earlier in the year with other counsellors. I felt very safe and supported in your sessions, I felt like you understood what I needed. I also felt like you challenged me when I needed to be challenged. You were also really patient as we went over the same ground a lot.  I was all over the place when we started and now feel really happy and confident in myself and the choices I have made. Pushing me to identify my feelings and work with them was really important for me having always been a big thinker but not that engaged with feelings. Learning about common relationship problems and how to overcome them helped me understand what had happened which was really important for me. I have learnt so much about how to understand my emotions, the difference between my feelings and thoughts, tools to help manage all of this. I've also learnt so much about relationships and what my own needs are, as well as being able to actually communicate all of this. I feel like I have grown a lot and am very thankful! Thank you Catherine!."

"Catherine is an empathetic and skilled therapist who creates a warm and non-judgmental space for her clients to explore and grow. Her person-centred approach fosters deep self-awareness and empowers individuals to navigate their challenges with resilience and authenticity. Catherine's genuine care and ability to connect on a human level make her a trusted and highly effective practitioner. She is deeply committed to supporting her clients on their journey toward healing and self-discovery."

“Working with you as my counsellor has been a profoundly supportive experience, transforming my initial feelings of being overwhelmed and lost into a sense of clarity and self-acceptance. Our sessions, particularly the inner child work and discussions around relationships, helped me understand and address the impact of childhood trauma, leading to improved boundaries and communication in my relationships, and a significant decrease in self-criticism. The most impactful aspects were your gentle guidance in connecting past experiences to present feelings, and the consistent emphasis on self-compassion, which surprisingly accelerated my progress and left me feeling lighter after each session.”

"Working with Catherine has been a meaningful first experience of therapy. When I began, I felt overwhelmed by grief and burdened by a sense of responsibility for everyone else’s wellbeing, but over our sessions I’ve gained clarity, self-awareness, and a deeper understanding that grief looks different for each person. Catherine helped me let go of those unrealistic expectations and provided practical techniques for navigating recurring emotional patterns for me and my family. I was surprised in the best way by how supported and understood I felt throughout the process, and I’m finishing our work together feeling lighter, more grounded, and far better equipped to handle difficult moments."

This is the second occasion in my lifetime that I have sought the support of a professional counsellor. Right from the start I felt comfortable speaking with Catherine and sharing some very difficult and personal experiences.  On starting counselling, I felt unheard, unappreciated and ready to walk from my married life - unable to effectively communicate and see a clear path forward. As the sessions progressed, recognising and understanding triggers, behaviour patterns and communication styles and just being able to talk freely about stuff,  helped me get a handle on how to effectively progress.  I needed to be reminded that we can only change our own behaviour and how we react in given situations and being reminded of this, given that we are all different, helped me and impacted how I dealt with certain situations. I felt safe to share and supported. I would recommend Catherine as a counsellor, I would say she has been a great help to me, is very knowledgeable and that I always felt comfortable talking to her. I have aways recommended counselling, to be able to share in a non-judgemental, professional environment what maybe troubling is invaluable and our mental health is as important as that of our physical well-being.

"I had a challenging experience with counseling in the past, which left me feeling hesitant and worried about being judged. However, Catherine immediately made me feel at ease. She gently guided me through untangling the complex thoughts and emotions I brought into our sessions. Catherine is an exceptional listener, always offering thoughtful prompts when I was unsure of how to proceed. After each session, I walked away with a renewed sense of clarity, additional insights to reflect on, and often a fresh perspective on issues I had struggled to resolve on my own. Her expertise and knowledge are evident, and she provided me with practical strategies for managing an unbalanced relationship. Thanks to her support, I gained the confidence to set healthy boundaries, which has led to immediate positive changes in my life. Most importantly, I now have a deeper understanding of myself and how I form connections with others. I cannot recommend Catherine highly enough – she has truly helped me move forward"

"It wasn't easy but our last session opened my eyes and helped so much, I feel like you literally saved my life."

"Catherine is a warm and patient individual who is able to foster trusting relationships, built upon her wide-reaching empathy and calm nature. She is highly versed in counselling practice and is proactive in seeking knowledge and training to create further areas of strength and understanding."

"I wouldn't want to do this journey with anyone else, you've changed my life Catherine."

"I highly recommend Catherine for her exceptional counselling services, her empathetic approach, active listening skills and dedication to her clients to create a safe and supportive environment for growth and healing."

"The work we have done with you has been truly transformational. We are incredibly grateful for your insight, time, and patience throughout our journey. While we hope we won't need to restart our couple's sessions, we would not hesitate to reach out again if we do."

"Catherine has been an incredible help and provided much needed guidance and reassurance. Initially I was nervous to start counselling but knew it was something I would like to do. Catherine quickly put me at ease and conversation was so easy, and most importantly I never felt judged. I have become so much more sure of myself and confident following my sessions with Catherine. I’ve been able to work through trauma and have become MUCH better at setting boundaries.  I honestly could not recommend Catherine and Trusted Minds enough, it feels like having a chat with someone you've known your whole life who understands you with no judgement."

"I have been working with Catherine for a very long time now, and I honestly feel I always will!  She has helped me process heavy childhood trauma that I thought would always plague me. Perhaps it will, but when it rears its ugly head now it no longer floors me. She has helped me grow to love myself, accept who I am flaws and all, and I now speak to myself with respect, understanding and kindness (most of the time!) We have had crisis sessions where I thought I could no longer go on and ‘maintenance’ sessions that I didn’t even know I needed! Having experienced years and years of therapists, CBT, hypnosis and everything in between, I have finally found something/someone that works. So very grateful for Catherine."

"Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone."
